3D virtual tour

A 3D virtual tour is one of four ways to show a home before it exists, and it is not always the right one. Here is what separates a render, a video, a 360 tour and a real-time 3D tour, so you can tell which your project actually needs before anyone quotes you for it.

01

Render and video: you choose the shot

Beautiful, controlled, and fixed. Perfect for a hoarding or a campaign. The buyer sees the view you picked, and cannot ask about the one you did not.

02

360 tour: fixed points, real photos

You jump between tripod positions in a space that already exists. Faithful and cheap for a finished property, impossible for one still on plan.

03

Real-time 3D: the buyer chooses

Built from the project, so it exists before the building does. The buyer walks where they want, compares unit types, and changes the hour to check the light.

Frequently asked questions

Is a 3D tour better than a 360 tour?
Neither is better in the abstract. If the property is finished, a 360 photo tour is faster, cheaper and more faithful. If it is not built, a 360 tour cannot exist and real-time 3D is the only option that covers every unit type.
Do I still need renders if I have a 3D tour?
Usually yes, for different jobs. Renders are what go on the hoarding, the portal listing and the brochure. The tour is what someone explores when they are deciding between two units.
What does a 3D virtual tour cost?
From €5,000 per project with Resiana, because it covers the whole development rather than one room. A single render or a 360 tour of a finished flat costs considerably less, and for those jobs it should.
